Skyline Drive - Toll road

The Mount Equinox Skyline Drive is the longest privately owned paved toll road in the USA (5.2 miles), elevation increase 3,235 ft., restrooms located at the Toll House, and first parking/picnicking area, 6 picnic and parking areas.

The Skyline Drive Toll House is located on Vermont Historic Route 7A between Manchester and Arlington, Vermont. When heading south the Toll House is on your right, on the left when heading north. Map and directions.

Enjoy the scenic beauty and the sights and sounds of nature at any of our picnic areas, many of which have marble picnic tables made from marble quarried on neighboring Dorset Mountain. There is a fireplace for grilling at the first area located 1/4 mile from the entrance of the drive.

We  are opening partially for the 2014 season until May 23rd.

Opening dates and hours

  • The toll road is open* 
    • From May 23rd to November 1st.
      • 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday thru Sunday
        * All dates and times are Weather pending.
        * Please note that the toll road closes 35 minutes prior to sunset.
  • The Toll road is closed
    • From November 2nd to May 22nd.

Restrictions

  • No hiking, walking, skate boarding or biking permitted on toll road.
  • No buses, No RVís or vans for over eight persons.
  • No trucks with campers installed in bed of truck.
  • No trailers.
  • No bikes, canoes, kayaks allowed on vehicles.
  • Camping and fires are strictly prohibited.
  • No hunting.
  • No weddings
  • No ceremonies

    • $12.00 bike and driver. No passenger fee.
